Wishing. Wishing for something your conscious mind talks you out of.
But wishing could be a pre-pre-premonition. Though not knowing for sure can be frightening.

If the most beautiful option in all the possible worlds exists only in theory,
your conscious mind WILL force you to act.

The Devil you know is a logical choice in cases like this. You know his games.

I wonder though. Is it your highest and best. Were you really on the wrong path or were you just moving too slow to know. A U-turn never seems to take one forward.

Do what you must, but keep one eye to the sky. If the Angel you wished for was to fly, thus proving it's status of Angel, the Devil you know is now YOUR cop out not to fly.

Fly. As soon as you someone shows you it can be done. Fly.

OR, never, ever look into the sky.
